The hotel felt very damp and cold. There was no secure car parking. The on site restaurant was closed both nights we were there.

You get what you pay for stained rugs, noisy hall ways low class clientele.

The location was close enough to downtown for the marathon. See below for complaints. Only consolation of this bad experience was that we were given a little discount. Should have been free after what we went through.

Check in was at 4 pm. We arrived after 5 pm. Hotel staff said we could change our room from 2 double beds to one king and sent us to a room. The room was not cleaned, went back downstairs for another room. Were sent to second room, which ended up not being cleaned either, went downstairs. Were sent to a third room, which was not cleaned, went downstairs and commented that now they should be embarassed. We were given a fourth room to try and actually the cook (we believe) of the restaurant arranged for someone to check the room before we hauled our luggage around for a fourth time. Never saw a maid cleaning anywhere on the floors. The room was cleaned prior, but I felt it was dirty and was not sure if the sheets were actually clean. Never felt anything was cleaned well enough after seeing all the dirty rooms first. Gross. Oh, and there was a party outside our room in the parking lot for hours, until about 2 am . My husband was running a marathon the next day and did not sleep well because of the noise. Terrible experience. Would not recommend and will never go to another Howard Johnsons again.
